Wayburn Donald John Adams  (1930 ~ 2003)

 

5.3.14.5. Fifth child of Zachariah D. Adams and Margaret S. Elford, Wayburn Donald John Adams, was born June 8, 1930, in Port McNicoll, Tay Twp., Simcoe Co., Ontario. 

  He married Noreen Genevieve Olver, daughter of Samuel Edward Olver and Violet Catherine Barker, on April 24, 1948, in Bowmanville, Ontario and had four children:

  • (5.3.14.5.2)  Cynthia Louise Susan  (1955 ~ )

  • (5.3.14.5.3)  Michael Anthony Wayburn  (1956 ~ )

  Wayburn D. Adams died June 16, 2003, aged 73 years in Bowmanville, Ontario and is interred at Bowmanville Cemetery.

Wayburn D. Adams

God saw you getting tired, a cure was not to be. He whispered gently in your ear, Wayburn, please come home to me. Quietly and peacefully, in the loving care of his family, Wayburn Donald John Adams passed away at his home on Monday, June 16, 2003, at the age of 73. Wayburn, beloved husband and friend of Noreen Genevieve (nee Olver). Cherished father of Deborah and her husband Dr. Hak-Ming Chiu, Cynthia and her husband John Huggins, Michael and his wife Vicki, Paul and his wife Diane.  Loved grandfather of Angela Peck, Brent and Christa Huggins, Andrew and Jason Adams. Adoring great-grandfather to Aurora Beaune. Dear brother of Ross Adams (Peggy), Marguerite Beacock and her late husband Allan, Murray Adams (Ada), Sam Adams (Linda), Blaine Adams (Janette), Bryce Adams (Joy), and the late Berwin Adams, survived by his wife Ida, and the late Gary Adams. Fondly missed by his nieces, nephews, and his special canine companion Stardust. A retired employee of Goodyear. Under the ownership and direction of Wayburn and Noreen, forgreater than 30 years, the Adams Senior’s Residence became an extended family to all. He enriched many lives and will be remembered by those who knew him. Family and friends may call at the Morris Funeral Chapel, 4 Division Street, Bowmanville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service at the Morris Chapel on Thursday at 1 pm. Interment at Bowmanville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bowmanville Salvation Army, Durham Regional Cancer Centre or the Bowmanville Palliative Care Team (PACT).  Special thanks to Dr. E. Noreen G. Olver Adams

August 18, 1926 ~ July 8, 2016

Noreen Genevieve (nee: Olver) Adams went home to be with her Heavenly Father on July 8th. Noreen passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her doting husband Wayburn Adams (2003). Cherished mother to Deborah Chiu (Dr. Hak-Ming Chiu), Cynthia Adams (Doug Stevens), Michael Adams (Vicki Adams), Paul Adams (Diane Laurie). Special nanny to Angela Anderson (Gerry Anderson), Brent Huggins (Sarah Beers), Andrew Adams, Christa Huggins (Wayne Ayube) and Jason Adams. Treasured great-grandma to Aurora Beaune, Emma Huggins and Sadie Huggins. Noreen and Wayburn Adams were caregivers to many seniors for almost 50 years in the Adam's Home. Noreen will be remembered for her dedication and contributions to the community. At Noreen’s request a private family service has taken place with burial at Bowmanville Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Morris Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flower's donations to the Salvation Army or Community Care Durham would be appreciated. Oshawa This Week, July 13, 2016.
