William Daniel Knapp  (1922 ~ 1993)

 

5.3.4.2.1. First child of Elsie M. Adams and William H. Knapp, William Daniel Knapp, was born May 22, 1922, in Clarke Twp., Durham Co., Ontario. 

  He married Emma Hopkins, daughter of Wilbert Andrew Hopkins and Ruby Evaline Cavanagh, April 25, 1942, in Bowmanville, Ontario and had six children:

  W. Daniel Knapp died February 9, 1993, aged 70 years and Emma Hopkins Knapp died July 19, 1997, aged 71 years in Bowmanville, Ontario and are interred at St. George’s Cemetery, Newcastle, Ontario.

Suddenly at his home on Tuesday, February 9, 1993, William Daniel Knapp in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Emma Hopkins. Dear father of Shirley, Joyce, Freeda, Darlene, Dennis and his wife Margo and Neil and his wife Wendy. Also survived by eight grandchildren. Rested at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, Tuesday. Funeral service was held in the chapel 11 a.m. Friday. Spring interment at St. George’s Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. George’s Building Fund or Heart and Stroke Foundation. September 20, 1925 ~ July 19, 1997

At Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville, on Saturday, July 19, 1997, Emma Knapp aged 71 years. Beloved wife of the late William Daniel Knapp. Dear mother of Joyce Bannon, Freda and Joe Beech, Dennis and Margo, Darlene and Wladimir, Neil and the late Shirley Jarvis. Loving grandmother of Beth, Michael, Katie and Brian. Visitation was held at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division St. N., Bowmanville, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Funeral service was held in the chapel 11 a.m. Tuesday. Cremation. Memorial donations may be made to The Durham Lung Association. Bowmanville Statesman, July 23, 1997.

Allan G. Jarvis

August 27, 1923 ~ September 10, 2002

Peacefully, at Rosebridge Manor, Easton’s Corners, on Tuesday, September 10, 2002. Allan George Jarvis at the age of 79. Father of Kenneth (Anne) of Smiths Falls. Survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brother of Wilhelmina Smith of Newfoundland. Sadly missed by his family and many good friends. Dear brother of Joyce Bannon; Freeda & Joe Beech; Darlene & Wladimir Kondracki; Neil & Louise Knapp and the late Shirley Jarvis. Brother-in-law to Alan Ray & Pat; Karen Stuart and Cathie & Jim McElman. Uncle to David Ray, Gerald Ray, Rosie & Ian Jack, Alanna, Vikki, Morgan, Colleen, Emily, Brandy & Darryl. Visitation will take place at The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel 11 am Saturday, November 23rd.
