5.3.6.4. Fourth child of James H. Adams and Gertrude M. Wotten, Dorothy Adeline Adams, was born June 10, 1921, in Burketon, Darlington Twp., Durham Co., Ontario.
She married Verdon Marwood Lethangue, son of Herman James Lethangue and Lillian Maud Elliott, May 22, 1940, in Hampton, Darlington Twp., Durham Co., Ontario and had five children:

Dorothy A. Adams Lethangue died May 10, 2000, aged 78 years in Bowmanville, Ontario and Verdon M. Lethangue died March 9, 1973, aged 51 years in Daytona Beach, Florida and are interred at Hampton Union Cemetery.

Dorothy Adeline Lethangue in her 79th year. At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Wednesday, May 10, 2000. Beloved wife of the late Verdon Lethangue. Dear mother of Marie & Ross Kerr; John & Cathy; Randy & Diane and the late Dianne Medd. Mother-in-law of Bart Medd. Lovingly remembered by 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grand-children. Dear sister of Marjorie Gray of Newcastle and Henry Adams, Lawrence Adams, Jean Fallis, Helen McDonald and Ruth Cowle all of Bowmanville. Visitation at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division St. N., Bowmanville 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral service in our Chapel at 1:30 Saturday. Interment Hampton Union Cemetery. Verdon M. Lethangue
March 23, 1921 ~ March 9, 1973
The death of Verdon Marwood Lethangue, in his 52nd year, occurred suddenly by drowning at Daytona Beach, Florida, on Friday, March 9, 1973.
Son of Herman and Lillian (Elliott) Lethangue he was born and educated at Ballyduff, Ontario. On May 22, 1940, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Adeline Adams. Residing at Ballyduff before going to Pontypool where they resided for nearly 14 years, Mr. Lethangue was a farmer for 10 years and a mechanic with General Motors of Canada for 17 years.
An active member in community affairs, the Chamber of Commerce and the Royal Canadian Legion, Millbrook, Mr. Lethangue served six years in World War II and was the recipient of three medals from the Royal Canadian Air Force, one being the British Empire Medal.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters and two sons, Marie (Mrs. Ross Kerr), Bethany; Dianne (Mrs. Bart Medd), Pontypool; John, Ballieboro and Randy, at home; sister, Mrs. Lionel Griffin, Petawawa, and six grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Ilene Stringer, Bancroft, predeceased him.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 13 at 2 p.m. from Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Ficko, Bethany, officiating. Funeral music was by Mrs. Arlene Ayre. Interment Hampton Cemetery.
Pallbearers were close friends, Glen Bradley, Lavern Chapman, Paul Mucha, Harry Van Wierengen, Wilfred Beggs and Lionel Shane. Flower bearers were Bob Skitch, Lloyd Fallis, Jack Clarkson, Lionel Griffin, Norman Rohrer and Percy Beggs.
Beautiful floral tokens were received from U.C., Pontypool, Fellow Workers Dept. 69 Reject, Pontypool Midget Baseball Team, Pontypool S.S. and others. Bowmanville Statesman, Apr. 11, 1973.
