Elmer Edmund Winch (1913 ~ 2003)
5.3.8.3. Third child of E. Maude Adams and Richard W. Winch, Elmer Edmund Winch, was born July 6, 1913, in Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan.
Elmer E. Winch died February 28, 2003, aged 89 years, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and is interred at Eyebrow, Saskatchewan.

Elmer E. Winch
Elmer Edmund Winch passed away peacefully with his family present on February 28, 2003. Elmer was born July 6, 1913 at Fort Qu’Appelle, Sask. He moved to Eyebrow with his parents when he was 3 years old. Elmer loved working outdoors and fishing. He also enjoyed farming, his greatest pleasure was working with the cattle and sheep. In 1937 he moved north to Homestead at Porcupine Plain with his cousin Grace and her husband Art Logan where he farmed for forty years. Elmer came to Moose Jaw in 1989 residing at Timothy Eatons where he made many good friends. Ill health found him living at Capliano Court at the time of his passing.
Predeceased by his parents Richard and Evalena Winch; two brothers; Harold and Clifford. He is survived by his sisters: Irma Meland of Moose Jaw, and Evelyn Houseman of Beaver Lodge, Alta.; brother Ernest (Brenda) Winch of Moose Jaw. No funeral at Elmer’s request. A Celebration of Elmer’s life will be held on Sunday, March 16th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Timothy Eaton Gardens, 510 Main St. N., Moose Jaw. As part of the Living Legacy Planting Program, Parkview Funeral Chapel will have a tree planted in Wakamow Valley in Elmer’s memory. Donations may be directed to the Timothy Eaton Gardens.
