5.7.10.3. Third child of Ida I. Ferguson and John D. Smith, Everett Archibald Ferguson Smith, was born July 26, 1925, in Arthur Twp., Wellington Co., Ontario.

Everett A. Smith died March 10, 1926, aged eight months, in Arthur Twp., Ontario.

July 26, 1925 ~ March 10, 1926

Conn. Mr. and Mrs. John D. Smith have the deepest sympathy of the whole community in the bereavement which they have suffered through the death of their baby boy, about eight months old. The blow is all the harder to bear as death came very suddenly and unexpectedly after only a few days’ illness, which was not thought to be of a serious nature.

In God’s keeping, sweetly sleeping,

We had laid out babe to rest.

And we know again we’ll find him

In the land of angels blest.

Just a few short months he tarried

To fulfil his mission here.

Then by angel arms was carried

To the place that knows no fear.
