----- OBITUARY -----

Edith P. Hunter

On Wednesday morning [January 9, 1929] of last week the entire community of Conn and vicinity was shocked when they learned that Edith Pearl Hunter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hunter, had passed away.

Deceased always enjoyed the best of health and was ready to take the best out of all amusements, when shortly before Christmas she took the Chicken Pox of which she was getting over wonderfully, when she took sudden ill with a relapse which confined her to bed for the short time when she passed quietly to rest at the age of 20 years, 5 months and 1 day.

She was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Conn, and took her part in the choir and the Ladies Aid, and was always willing to give a helping hand whenever needed.

She leaves to mourn her loss her mother and father, one sister, Viola, and four brothers, Roy, Elmer, Harvey and Bert, all at home.

The funeral service which was conducted at the home on January 11th by her pastor, the Rev. F. S. Okell, B. A., to the Mount Forest Cemetery, was largely attended by friends and aquaintances paying their last tribute. The many floral offerings which were very beautiful showed the esteeem in which the deceased was held and were carried by girl friends.

The pallbearers were: Harry and Cecil Arnott, Arthur Coutts, Ambrose Manion, Willie Widdis and Frank Kingdon. Mount Forest Confederate, Jan. 17, 1929.
