----- MARRIAGE -----

HunterCrewson

At the home of the bride, under an arch of evergreens with pink and white carnations streamers and bells, a very pretty wedding took place on Wednesday, June 6, 1945, at 3 p.m., when Muriel Dove, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Franklin Crewson, was united in marriage to Albert Lawrence Hunter of Conn, with the Rev. Lloyd Hustler, cousin of the bride, officiating. The bride looked charming in a floor-length gown of white sheer with matching head dress of flowers and veil and carried a bouquet of pink carnations and blue delphiniums as she entered the living room on the arm of her father, Mr. J. Franklin Crewson, while Mrs. Wm. Henderson played the wedding march. The brides-maid, Gwendoline Crewson, sister of the bride, was in a floor-length gown of cream satin with head dress of flowers and carried a bouquet of pink carnations and pink delphiniums. The groom was supported by Mr. Robert Ferguson, cousin of the groom. Before the signing of the register, a solo was sweetly sung by the bride’s sister, Gwendoline. After the ceremony a buffet luncheon was served to over thirty guests by four of the bride’s friends. The living room was tastefully decorated with pink and white streamers. The bride’s table was centred with the wedding cake and trimmed with pink and white. Gifts to the organist were a pair of pillow-slips, to the bridesmaid a gold locket, and to the groomsman a billfold. After the buffet lunch the happy couple left for a honeymoon to points south, the bride wearing a flowered jersey with matching accessories. They will reside on a farm near Conn. Guests were present from Conn, Grand Valley, Toronto and Mount Forest. Grand Valley Star & Vidette, June 14, 1945.
