----- MARRIAGE -----
Ferguson—McFarlane
A charming and largely attended wedding was solemnized on June 28, 1917, at the hour of 4 o’clock p.m., at the residence of Mrs. and Mrs. S. Ferguson, West Luther, when their daughter, Margaret Ann, was married to Mr. Robert J. McFarlane, of Gordonville, by Rev. Mr. Cooper, of Mount Forest. The ceremony was performed under an arch of evergreens and flowers, and a wedding bell. The bride, who was given away by her father, was beautifully attired in a cream gown and carried a bridal bouquet of white roses. Miss Eliza McFarlane, sister of the groom, attended the bride, while Mr. Talbert Ferguson assisted the groom through the trying ordeal, and little Miss Florence Adams, cousin of the bride, acted as flower girl. After the ceremony all sat down to a well spread table, and when all had satisfied the longing of the inner man, the evening was spent in music and dancing. Many costly presents were given to the bride, showing the high esteem in which she was held by her host of friends. Mr. and Mrs. McFarlane intend making their home at Keldon where the best wishes of all follow them, hoping that they may be spared to enjoy many happy years together. We, along with their host of friends, would like them to accept our congratulations. Mount Forest Confederate, July 6, 1917.
