5.7.9.1. First child of Erwin L. Ferguson and A. Mildred Ellis, Robert Louis Ferguson, was born June 28, 1921, in Proton Twp., Grey Co., Ontario.
He married Leona Kathleen Morrison, daughter of Catharine Jane Adams and Andrew Craig Morrison, August 9, 1941, Conn, W. Luther Twp., Wellington Co., Ontario and had five children:

R. Louis Ferguson died December 19, 1958, aged 37 years in Mount Forest, Ontario and L. Kathleen Morrison Ferguson died December 21, 1993, aged 74 years in London, Ontario, and are interred at Mount Forest Cemetery.

At the United Church Manse, Conn, on Saturday, August 9, 1941, by the Rev. Mr. Harris, Leona Kathleen Morrison, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew C. Morrison, to Louis Robert Ferguson, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin L. Ferguson, both of Proton Township. Mount Forest Confederate, Aug. 21, 1941.

R. Louis Ferguson
On Friday, December 19, 1958, the whole community was deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Robert Louis Ferguson.
Apparently in his usual state of health, he was stricken with a heart seizure in the late afternoon and passed away in the early evening.
Mr. Ferguson was born June 28, 1921, on the farm in the Cedarvale vicinity where he resided until his death. He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Ferguson, Mount Forest.
On August 9, 1941, he was married to Kathleen Morrison, eldest daughter of Mrs. Andrew Morrison, and they settled on the home farm, where they were still residing.
Left to mourn the loss of a loving husband and father are his wife, Kathleen, three sons, Wayne, Barry and Beverly, and two daughters, Diane and Lynette. To mourn the loss of a dear son and brother are his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Ferguson, Mount Forest, one sister, Velma, Mrs. Carman Dickson, Orchardville, and one brother, Harold, Mount Forest.
The funeral service was held on Monday, December 22, from the United Church, Mount Forest, and was attended by many friends and relatives. Rev. A. G. Hewitt officiated, assisted by Rev. R. G. Hazlewood.
The pallbearers were neighbors of the deceased, Messrs. Alvin Adams, Bill Gillespie, John Dyce, Elmer Shier, Jack Kerr, Earl Bilton.
The many beautiful floral tributes, a silent token of the esteem of relatives and friends, were carried by 12 cousins.
Interment was in Mount Forest Cemetery. Mount Forest Confederate, Jan. 9, 1959.
L. Kathleen Morrison Ferguson
May 31, 1919 ~ December 21, 1993
At University Hospital, London, Ont., on Tuesday, December 21, 1993, Kathleen Morrison, wife of the late Louis Ferguson, of Mount Forest, in her 75th year.
Mother and mother-in-law of Wayne Ferguson of Brampton, Barry and Jean Ferguson of Neustadt, Diane and Sam Dinning of Ancaster, Beverly Ferguson of Mount Forest and Lynette and Ross Weber of Mount Forest. Sister of Elva Morrison and Mona Kramp. Surivived by none grandchildren.
Funeral services was held today (Thursday) at Hendrick Funeral Chapel, Mount Forest. Interment in Mount Forest Cemetery.

Catharine J. Adams Morrison
Janaury 23, 1891 ~ September 13, 1968
Mrs. Andrew Morrison passed away in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Guelph, on Friday, September 13, 1968, after a lengthy illness. She was in her 78th year.
Mrs. Morrison was the former Catharine Jane Adams, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Adams, West Luther. She was married on February 26, 1913, to Andrew Craig Morrison, who predeceased her in 1955. They resided in Proton Township until his death when she moved to Mount Forest where she resided until her illness. She was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Conn.
She leaves to mourn her loss one son, Clarence, Mount Forest; two daughters, Kathleen, Mrs. Louis Ferguson, Cedarville; and Mona, Mrs. Russell Kramp, Dublin; also 11 grandchildren; one sister, Gertie, Mrs. Stanley Harriott; and three brothers, George, Stanley and Edwin, all of Mount Forest. Two sisters and two brothers, Florence, Mrs. Alex Graham; Martha, Mrs. Walter Samuel; William and Robert Adams, predeceased her.
The funeral was held on Monday, September 16, from the Gardiner Funeral Chapel with the Rev. F. A. Pickering officiating. Interment was in Mount Forest Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Messrs. Kenneth Morrison, Perry Samuel, Wayne Ferguson, Clifford Adams and Alvin Adams.
The flower bearers were Diane Ferguson, Lynette Ferguson, Mrs. Wayne Ferguson, Mrs. Gordon Adams, Charlene Kramp, Rhonda Kramp, Roger Kramp and Larry Morrison. Mount Forest Confederate, Sept. 26, 1968.
Andrew C. Morrison
May 9, 1885 ~ April 17, 1955
On Sunday, April 17, 1955 the whole community was deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Andrew Craig Morrison, a life-long resident of Conn vicinity. He was born on May 9, 1885, the youngest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Morrison, Concession 1, Proton.
On February 26, 1913 he married Catharine J. Adams, second daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Adams of West Luther and they settled on Con. 2, Proton where they have since resided.
Apparently in his usual state of health, they had gone for their regular Sunday afternoon rest, and great was her consternation and shock on awakening about 3:00 p.m. to find that he had passed peacefully away in his sleep. He leaves to mourn his loss besides his wife, two daughters and one son, Kathleen, Mrs. Louis Ferguson of Proton; Mona, Mrs. Russell Kramp of Arthur, Clarence of Mount Forest, and nine grandchildren; also three brothers, Joseph of Conn, James of Rothsay and Robert of Nokomis, Sask. Two brothers, Matthew and Hugh and one sister, Susan, Mrs. Fred Graham predeceased him.
The funeral was held on Wednesday, April 20, 1955 from the Gardiner Funeral Chapel, Mount Forest and was largely attended by friends from near and far. The Rev. Arthur Leggett of Arthur officiated, assisted by the Rev. Maurice McNabb, of Bluevale.
The pallbearers were Messrs. Everett Watson, Neil Keith, Wendall Graham, Fred Donald, Ken Morrison and Jabe Barnard.
The many beautiful floral tributes were carried by two grandsons, Wayne and Barry Ferguson; five nephews, Perry Samuel, Alvin, Clifford, Gordon and Robert Adams, and Everett Funston.
Interment was in Mount Forest Cemetery.
Friends and relatives from a distance attending the funeral were from Beamsville, St. Catharines, London, Toronto, Georgetown, Orton, Midland, Collingwood, Ennotville, Fergus, Rothsay and other points. Mount Forest Confederate, May 5, 1955.
Hugh Morrison
February 9, 1842 ~ February 21, 1928
After a short illness Mr. Hugh Morrison, one of the oldest pioneers and highly respected residents of Proton Township, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 1928, at the home of his son-in-law, Mr. Fred Graham.
The late Hugh Morrison was born at Tullamore, Ont., on February 9, 1842. In 1869 he married Miss Jane Craig, of Brampton, who predeceased him in August, 1911. In 1872 they moved to Smoky-Hollow near Kenilworth. They resided there until 1874 when they moved to Proton and settled on the farm, which now is the home of his son Joseph.
A family of six sons and one daughter are left to mourn the loss of a devoted father: Hugh W. and Robert H. of Nokomis, Sask.; David J., West Luther; Matthew J., West Luther; (Susie) Mrs. Fred Graham, Proton; Joseph L., Proton; Andrew C., Proton; a little daughter predeceased him in 1881. Twelve grandchildren also survive.
The late Mr. Morrison was a man of many qualities, much respected by those who knew him. In politics he was a staunch Conservative. He was also a member of the Loyal Orange Lodge for 68 years, under which auspices he was buried. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Mr. H. B. Scudamore, of Mount Forest Anglican Church. Deceased was a member of Damascus Anglican Church.
Interment took place in Walker’s Cemetery. The pallbearers were Messrs. John McEachern, Archibald McTavish, Cedarville; John Beckner, Stratford; Thomas Alexander, George Perry, Robert Jackson, Conn. Mount Forest Confederate, Mar. 1, 1928.
