5.8.3.3. Third child of Catharine J. Adams and Andrew C. Morrison, Mona Isobel Morrison, was born February 19, 1928, in Proton Twp., Grey Co., Ontario.
She married Russell Ernest Kramp, son of William Kramp and Alma Beatrice Caroline Foster, May 28, 1949, Conn, W. Luther Twp., Wellington Co., Ontario and had five children:

Mona I. Morrison Kramp died May 7, 2017, aged 89 years, and Russell E. Kramp died June 8, 2009, aged 81 years, in Stratford, Ontario.

Morrison—Kramp
A quiet wedding took place at Knox Presbyterian Manse, Conn, on Saturday, May 28, 1949, when Mona Isobel, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Morrison was united in marriage with Russell Ernest Kramp, second son of Mrs. William Kramp and the late William Kramp. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Maurice D. McNabb of Conn.
The bride wore a street length dress of white silk jersey, long white gloves, white hat and shoes and wore a corsage of red roses. The bride was attended by her cousin, Miss Marion Adams who wore a yellow silk jersey gown, white hat, gloves and shoes and wore a corsage of pink roses. Mr. Lorne Smith acted as groomsman.
The groom’s gift to the bride was a chest of silver, to the bridesmaid a compact and to the groomsman a gold tie pin set.
After a dainty wedding supper served to the immediate families of the bride and groom, the young couple left on a trip to Brampton, Niagara Falls, Welland and other points. The bride traveled in a figured dress, navy blue shortie coat with white accessories. Mount Forest Confederate, June 16, 1949.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Mona Kramp (Morrison) of Woodland Towers, Stratford on May 7, 2017. Mona was born Proton Township, Ontario in 1928, daughter of the late Andrew and Catharine (Adams) Morrison. It was there she met her loving husband Russell Kramp who predeceased her in 2009 after almost 60 years of marriage. She is survived by her children Charlene Brown (David), Rhonda Parsons (Ian), Terry Kramp (Heather), Lisa Merkel (Jarrett) and Roger Kramp (deceased). Grandmother of Tracey Segeren (John), Robin Parsons, Jeff Brown (Jen), Chris Parsons (Tara), Angela Muir (Mike), Jennifer Luckhardt (Paul), Daniel Kramp (Erin), Allison and Benjamin Merkel and 10 great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters-in-law Marion Walker (Jim), Vi Kramp, by a brother-in-law Ken Kramp (Aggie) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Kathleen Ferguson (Louis), a brother Clarence Morrison (Elva), brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Hilda Arnott (Leonard), Leona Wiltshire (Reginald), Lena Ellis (Vern) and Harvey Kramp.
Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Wednesday, May 10, from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. Rev. Rob Congram will officiate. Russell E. Kramp

Russell Ernest Kramp, age 81, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital, on Monday, June 8, 2009. He was born in Mount Forest, son of the late William and Alma Kramp. Russell and his wife Mona owned and operated Kramps Arrow Station in Dublin for 19 years. He worked with Samsonite as a mechanic for 23 years and later Canadian Fabricated Products until his retirement. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Stratford. Russell was a devoted family man. He leaves his wife of 60 years Mona (Morrison); children Charlene Brown (David), Rhonda Parsons (Ian), Terry Kramp (Brenda), Lisa Merkel (Jarrett). He will be missed by his 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Ken Kramp (Aggie), Leona Wiltshire, Marion Walker (Jim). Also survived by a sister-in-law Violet Kramp and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Roger Kramp (2003), by sisters Hilda Arnott (Leonard), Lena Ellis (Vern) and by a brother Harvey Kramp. Friends and relatives may call at the W. G. Suddenly at Alexandra Marine & General Hospital, Goderich, on Wednesday, September 3, 2003, Roger Kramp of Goderich in his 51st year. Dear father of Angie Kramp and her fiance Mike Muir of London. Loving son of Russell and Mona Kramp of Stratford. Dear brother of Charlene (David) Brown of Shakespeare, Rhonda (Ian) Parsons of Stratford, Terry (Brenda) Kramp of Kitchener, Lisa (Jarrett) Merkel of St. Paul’s. William Kramp

After several months’ illness, William Kramp, second son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kramp of Proton passed away at his home in Proton on Saturday, April 23, 1949 on his 59th birthday.
Mr. Kramp was born and spent most of his life on the farm where he died. The exception was a few years which he spent in Mount Forest. In 1914 he married Alma Foster, youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mortimer Foster.
Surviving are his widow, four daughters, Hilda, Mrs. Leonard Arnott of Arthur; Leona, Mrs. Regie Wiltshire, Lena, Mrs. Vernon Ellis of Proton and Marion at home; three sons, Harvey of Arthur, Russell and Kenneth, both at home.
The funeral service was held on Monday at 2:30 from the home in Proton to Knox Church, Conn, where the service was in charge of Rev. O. Locke of Holstein, and interment made in Mount Forest Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Emerson Ransome, Leeson Graham, Fred Graham, Billy Howells, Alf Arnott and Dave Jack. Mount Forest Confederate, May 5, 1949.

February 5, 1850 ~ April 24, 1929
The death took place at Conn on April 24, 1929, of the above old resident of Proton after an illness of about two years.
The deceased had spent most of his life in Proton until about 8 years ago when he moved to Conn. In 1884 he married Caroline Marklinger, who died in January 1922. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Conn.
He is survived by twelve children: Kate, Mrs. Sam Cannon, Auburn, N.Y.; Lizzie, Mrs. Ed. Henderson, of Galt; Minnie, Mrs. Jacob Marklinger, Riverview; Annie, Mrs. Elmer Furthington, Auburn, N.Y.; Jack, Hanover; Mrs. J. Kerr, Mimico; Mrs. Minor Donald, Mount Forest; Fred, at home; William, Mount Forest; Jake, on the homestead; and Louisa, at home. Ida, Mrs. James Hale, predeceased him twenty years ago. There survive also one sister, Mrs. Christopher Reist, Kitchener, and two brothers: Louis of Breslau and John of Hanover.
The funeral took place on Friday afternoon from Knox Church, Conn. The service was conducted by the Rev. F. S. Okell, assisted by the Rev. John Little. The pall bearers were Messrs. William Donald, John Herriot, William Arnott, Alfred Bishop, Garret Doyle and William Coutts.

A very sudden death took place in Proton at an early hour on Friday morning last, January 27, 1922. Mrs. Fred Kramp, the previous evening went to a neighbour’s, Mr. Samuel Gamble’s, to assist as nurse, as she frequently did in the community. Before two o’clock next morning she was seized with so severe a stroke that she passed away in less than 15 minutes before aid of any kind could be secured. It was a great shock to Mr. and Mrs. Gamble at the time, and to her family and friends when the news reached them. Mrs. Kramp, whos maiden name was Caroline Merklinger, was born in New York City 62 years ago. When a girl she came to Canada with her parents, who in the early days settled in Proton. She was married 36 years ago. There are left to mourn her loss her husband and six children: Mrs. John Kerr, Mimico; Mrs. Minor Donald, Mount Forest; William and Fred, of Proton; Jacob and Louisa at home; also six step-children: Kate and Annie, married in the States; Lizzie, of Galt; Minnie of Riverview; Jack, of Hanover, and Alex in the West.
The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon from the Presbyterian Church, Conn, and was very largely attended. The Rev. Mr. McLean conducted the services.
The pall-bearers were two brothers, Jacob and Martin Merklinger, of Waterloo, three sons, Fred, Will and Jacob, and her stepson, Jack. Mount Forest Confederate & Representative, Feb. 2, 1922.
