John Stanley Adams (1899 ~ 1973)
5.8.7. Seventh child of James Adams and Dinah Isabella Perry, John Stanley Adams, was born September 1, 1899, W. Luther Twp., Wellington Co., Ontario.
She married Sarah Margaret Jane “Sadie” Andrews, daughter of Thomas Edgar Andrews and Johanna Tebby, April 11, 1925, Mount Forest, Ontario and had three children:

J. Stanley Adams died August 19, 1973, aged 72 years and Sarah M. Andrews Adams died November 7, 1978, aged 75 years in Kitchener, Ontario and are interred at Mount Forest Cemetery.

A very pretty wedding took place at the Methodist Parsonage on Saturday, April 11, 1925, when John Stanley Adams, eldest son of the late James Adams of Conn and Sarah Margaret Andrews, eldest daughter of Thomas Andrews of the 6th of Egremont, were united in holy wedlock, Rev. R. A. Facey officiating.
Miss Evelyn Todd and Mr. Edwin Adams attended the bride and groom.
The groom’s gift to the bride was a pearly necklace, to the bridesmaid a pearl necklace, and to the groomsman, a set of cuff links.
The bridal couple took the 4 p.m. train to Toronto. On their return Mr. and Mrs. Adams will reside on the 12th of West Luther. Their many friends join in congratulations. Mount Forest Confederate, Apr. 16, 1925.

J. Stanley Adams
At the age of 73, Stanley Adams of Mount Forest, passed away Sunday, August 19, 1973 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener.
Mr. Adams was born in Conn, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs James Adams.
Mr. Adams, who farmed in the Conn area, retired to town about fifteen years ago, where he was a member of the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Sadie Andrews, one son, Clifford of Conn and two daughters, Mrs Frank (Joan) Funston of Huron Park and Mrs. John (Gladys) Bottrill of Vancouver, B.C.
One brother, Edwin of Mount Forest as well as 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service was held Wednesday from the Hendrick Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Mount Forest Confederate, Aug. 23, 1973.
Sarah M. “Sadie” Andrews Adams
October 28, 1903 ~ November 7, 1978
At St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener, on Tuesday, November 7, 1978, Sarah Margaret Jane Andrews of Mount Forest, dear wife of the late J. Stanley Adams, in her 76th year.
Dear mother of Clifford of Conn, Joan (Mrs. Frank Funston) of Oakville and Gladys (Mrs. John Bottrill) of Vancouver; dear sister of Stanley Andrews and Mary (Mrs. John Robb), both of Mount Forest. Survived also by 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Predeceased by three brothers, Edgar, Wesley and Ernest.
The late Mrs. Adams is resting at the Hendrick Funeral Home, Mount Forest, until Friday when the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1 p.m. Interment Mount Forest Cemetery. Kitchener-Waterloo Record, Nov. 8, 1978.
Thomas E. Andrews
August 24, 1867 ~ April 1, 1940
After a lengthy and trying illness, the death peacefully took place in the township of Minto, Lot 6, Con. 13, on Monday afternoon, April 1, 1940, of Thomas Edgar Andrews, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Andrews of the 10th Concession of Egremont.
The deceased was born 72 years ago on the 10th of Egremont, where he lived for many years then moved to Arthur Township in 1918, and from there to the 6th of Egremont in 1921. This Spring the purchase was made of the late James D. Anderson farm in Minto township, where Mr. Andrews died. In religion he was a Methodist, later a member of the United Church, Mount Forest.
He was a loving husband, a kind and faithful father of kindly disposition, well-thought of by all who knew him, and will be missed by his many friends.
In the year 1893, he married Joanna Tebby, who survives, together with a family of six children: Edgar of Mt. Forest; Wesley of Normanby; Sadie, Mrs. Stanley Adams of Conn; Stanley, Ernest and Mary May, at home.
He was a charter member of L.O.L. No. 1258, Cedarville, being a member of that Lodge for over 50 years. The funeral services at his home was conducted by his pastor, Rev. Ian McEown. The service at the grave was in charge of the Orange Order. Past County Master Bro. Norman Hopkins officiated. The pallbearers were Bro. Norman Hopkins, P.C.M.; Bro. Henry Weideman, P.D.M.; Bro. Albert Ovens, D.M.; Bro. John Ryan, Bro. William Bradley, and Bro. John Andrews.
There were flowers from the wife and family; Cedarville L.O.L. No. 1258; Mt. Forest L.T.B., No. 336, and John Andrews and family, Hanover. Flower bearers were his nephews, Lawson and Roy Andrews, and one grandson, Rennison. Mount Forest Confederate, Apr. 11, 1940.
Johanna Tebby Andrews
April 14, 1871 ~ September 14, 1946
After a lengthy and trying illness, there peacefully passed away on September 14, 1946, in Mount Forest, at the home of her eldest son, Edgar, an esteemed citizen, Mrs. Thomas E. Andrews.
The deceased was born 75 years ago on the 10th Concession of Egremont, where she lived for many years and in 1893 was married to Thomas E. Andrews. In 1918 they moved to Arthur Township, from there to the 6th Concession of Egremont three years later where they lived till 1940 when the family moved to Minto Tp. The late Mr. Andrews passed away in 1940. Two years later Mrs. Andrews came to town and has since made her some with her son Edgar.
In religion the deceased was a Methodist, later a member of the United Church of Mount Forest. She was a loving wife, a kind and faithful mother, of a kindly disposition, well thought of by all who knew her. She will be missed by her many friends.
Those left to mourn the loss of a loving mother are her family of four sons and two daughters: Edgar of Mount Forest, Wesley of Normanby, Sadie, Mrs. Stanley Adams, of Conn, Stanley on the homestead in Minto, Ernie of Oshawa and Mary May of Mount Forest; also a sister Mary, Mrs. W. Waldron, of Oak River, Manitoba, who is the only one surviving of four sisters and four brothers.
The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. W. Pratt, at the home of her son Edgar on Egremont street.
Many beautiful floral tributes testified to the love and esteem in which the deceased was held by her family, friends and neighbours. Tributes were also sent by Garnet Lodge, the True Blue Lodge of Mount Forest, and the Mount Forest Fire Dept.
The pallbearers were her four sons, Edgar, Wesley, Stanley and Ernie, a son-in-law, Mr. Stanley Adams, and a nephew, Mr. John Andrews. The flower bearers were her three grandsons, Rennison and Russell Andrews, Clifford Adams and a nephew, W. Tebby, Mr. Eddie Sills and Mr. Bob Campbell. Interment took place in Woodland Cemetery.
Relatives from out-of-town were: Mr. and Mrs. John Andrews, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Sills of hanover, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Petty and Mr. and Mrs. Neil McArthur of Durham, Mrs. W. Campbell and her son Bob of Alma, Mr. and Mrs. E. Culp, Mrs. W. Lewis, Mrs. Blair, Mrs. Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. A. Shaw and Mrs. W. Green of Arthur. Mount Forest Confederate, Oct. 3, 1946.
