He married Viola Jean McTavish Small, daughter of George Leslie McTavish and Sarah Jane Ritchie, August 16, 1947, Conn, W. Luther Twp., Wellington Co., Ontario and had five children:

Clifford V. Adams died December 17, 1983, aged 57 years in Orangeville, Ontario and Viola J. McTavish Small Adams died September 22, 1978, aged 53 years in Mount Forest, Ontario and are interred at Mount Forest Cemetery.

At Dufferin Area Hospital, Orangeville, on Saturday, December 17, 1983, Clifford V. Adams, of West Luther Township, in his 58th year.
Husband of the late Viola McTavish; dear father of Brian of Conn, Sheila (Mrs. Wayne Donald) of St. Jacobs, Brenda (Mrs. James Guse) of Waterloo, Beth (Mrs. Wayne Dodds) of Woodstock and Lorrie, at home; dear brother of Gladys (Mrs. John Bottrill) of Vancouver, B.C., and Joan (Mrs. Frank Funston) of Huron Park. Survived also by nine grandchildren.
Rersting at the Hendrick Funeral Home, Mount Forest, for visitation Monday and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment Mount Forest Cemetery. Kitchener-Waterloo Record, Dec. 19, 1983.
Viola J. McTavish Small Adams
August 13, 1925 ~ September 22, 1978
Viola Jean Adams died at the Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest, on Friday, September 22, 1978, in her 54th year. The former Viola McTavish, she was the dear wife of Clifford Adams of Conn.
Surviving besides her husband are one son, Brian of Conn; four daughters, Sheila (Mrs. Wayne Donald) of St. Jacob’s, Brenda (Mrs. James Guse) of St. Jacob’s, Elizabeth (Mrs. Wayne Dodds) of Woodstock and Lorrie at home.
Surviving also are her mother, Mrs. Sarah McTavish of Mount Forest; one brother, Ron of Kitchener; four sisters Eva (Mrs. Ted Hamilton) of Toronto, Mrs. Laureen Graham of Conn, Jean (Mrs. Howard Stanley) of Toronto and Sharon (Mrs. Howard Guest) of Kitchener; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Hendrick Chapel, Mount Forest, on Monday, September 25, at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Lloyd Clifton officiating. Interment was in Mount Forest Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Warren Graham, Wayne Donald, Jim Guse and Wayne Dodds. Flower bearers were Bev McTavish, Linda Hamilton, Debbie Stroud, Colleen Sherman, Robin Guest, Pat Graham, and Cathy Funston. Mount Forest Confederate, Oct. 4, 1978.
G. Leslie McTavish
March 24, 1902 ~ November 21, 1953
The death occurred suddenly at his home in Conn, on Saturday, November 21, 1953, of Mr. Leslie McTavish in his 52nd year. He was the youngest son of the late Mr. Neil McTavish and Mary Cammidge. Although he had not enjoyed good health for the past year his passing came as a great shock to his family and friends.
Left to mourn his passing are his widow, the former Sarah Jane Ritchie, five daughters and one son: Eva, Mrs. Ted Hamilton, Toronto; Viola, Mrs. Cliff Adams, Conn; Laureen, Mrs. Leeson Graham, Conn; Georgina, Mrs. Howard Stanley, Toronto; Ronny and Sharon at home. Two brothers, Robert of Arthur and Peter of Regina, and 13 grandchildren also survive.
The funeral was held from the home to Knox Presbyterian Church, Conn. The Rev. M. D. McNabb conducted the service.
Interment was in Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur. The pall bearers were Messrs. Art Coutts, Fred Graham, Art McWaters, Bill Moore, Bob Officer, Earl Watt. The many beautiful floral tributes were carried by eight nephews: Ken and Jack McTavish, Norman Peavoy, Isaac, Stewart, Wilbert and Lenny Ritchie and Hugh Jordan. Sarah J. Ritchie McTavish
November 7, 1901 ~ May 19, 1986
Sarah Jane McTavish died at the Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest, on May 19, 1986.
The former Sarah Jane Ritchie was born on November 7, 1901 in West Luther Township, a daughter of the late Isaac and Sara Ritchie.
On April 12, 1922, she married George Leslie McTavish, who predeceased her in 1953. They lived all their married lives in the Conn area.
Mrs. McTavish is survived by five children, Eva Hamilton of Mississauga, Laureen Graham of Conn, Georgina Stanley of Toronto, Ronald of Kitchener and Sharon Guest of Kitchener.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Viola Adams of Conn.
Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. One brother, Logan Ritchie, lives in Fergus and one sister, Laura Jordan of Acton, also survives.
Mrs. McTavish was predeceased by eight brothers and one sister, David, Thomas, Ernest, Isaac, Bruce, Stewart, Clarence, Delmer and Elizabeth Peavoy.
Mrs. McTavish was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Over the years she had been active in the senior citizens' club, shuffleboard club and church groups.
The funeral service, conducted by Rev. D. Riseborough, was held on May 22 at the Hendrick Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were grandchildren Doug Hamilton, Brian Adams, Robert Graham, Howard Stanley, Barry McTavish and Bradley Guest.
Flower bearers were grandchildren Linda Lehay, Sheila Donald, Pat Graham, Colleen Sherman, Bonnie McTavish and Robin Hunter.

Neil McTavish
November 15, 1857 ~ January 4, 1941
After being in poor health for some years the death of Neil McTavish, one of Arthur's oldest and well known citizens, occurred on Saturday, January 4, 1941, following a few days' illness. The community mourns the loss of a worthy citizen and a good neighbour, the family a loving husband and father.
The late Mr. McTavish, who was in his 84th year, was born in Erin Township. He was the second child of the late Peter McTavish and Sarah McLean, and was the last survivor of a family of eight. At an early age he came to West Luther with his parents and settled on a farm on the 8th concession. In 1889 he married Mary Cammidge. After three years spent in Riverview they settled on the old Cammidge homestead, where they farmed for 28 years. In 1920 they moved to Arthur, where they have since resided.
He is survived by his widow and four sons, Robert, Norman and Leslie, of West Luther, and Peter, of Regina, Sask.
The funeral was held on Friday afternoon. After a short service at the home, a public service was conducted in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church by his pastor, Rev. John R. Waldie. The large congregation in attendance and the cortege which followed the remains to their last resting place testified to the esteem in which the deceased was held. Those who acted as pallbearers were six nephews—William, Peter and Neil McTavish, Peter Sim, Robert and Tom Powrie. Six grandchildren acted as flower bearers. Interment took place in Greenfield Cemetery.
Friends were present from Toronto, Galt, Guelph, Erin, Fergus, Acton, Belwood, Cedarville and Shelburne. Arthur Enterprise, Jan. 16, 1941.
Mary A. Cammidge McTavish
April 6, 1863 ~ December 7, 1947
The death took place at Arthur on Sunday, December 7, 1947, of an old and respected resident in the person of Mrs. Neil McTavish.
She was formerly Mary Cammidge and was born in Luther Township, eighty years ago. After her marriage to Neil McTavish, they lived on the 11th Concession of West Luther but moved to Arthur thirty-five years ago and she had been a semi-invalid ever since and had been a patient in hospitals a number of times. Her husband predeceased her seven years ago.
Surviving are four sons, Robert of Arthur, Norman of Arthur Twp., Leslie of Conn and Peter of Regina, Sask. Mount Forest Confederate, Dec. 18, 1947.
