Aberdeen Johnston Laidlaw  (1907 ~ 1953)

 

5.9.2.2. Second child of Mary Jane Johnston and Allen Laidlaw, Aberdeen Johnston Laidlaw, was born May 29, 1907, in Midland, Simcoe Co., Ontario. 

 

  Aberdeen J. Laidlaw died April 24, 1953, aged 45 years in Midland, Ontario, and is interred at Lakeview Cemetery.

Aberdeen J. Laidlaw

Not quite seven weeks after the death of his father, Aberdeen Johnston Laidlaw, elder son of Mrs. Allen Laidlaw and the late Mr. Laidlaw, died April 24, 1953 in Midland as the result of a coronary thrombosis (heart attack). He was in his 46th year.

  Born and educated in Midland, Mr. Laidlaw had spent his life in town with the exception of 10 years in Toronto. He was also a member of the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Laidlaw was unmarried.

  Funeral service was conducted by J. L. Self, April 27, from the funeral home of A. Barrie and Sons. Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were Allan Houston, Bob Megaw, Tommy Laidlaw, Russell Switzer, John Silvey and Verne Carson. Out-of-town relatives and friends attending the service came from Toronto, Mimico, Hamilton, Mount Forest, Conn, Wasaga Beach, Brampton, Caledon, Inglewood, Weston, Port McNicoll.

  Mr. Laidlaw is survived by his mother; five sisters, Mrs. D. A. Houston (Mildred), Mrs. V. J. Cummings (Ruth), Toronto; Mrs. L. W. Clark (Naomi), Mimico; Mrs. H. S. Falck (Joan), Sarnia; Mrs. R. A. Megaw (Frances), Midland; and one brother, John of Toronto. Midland Free Press, May 2, 1953.
