Doris Vivian Switzer (1916 ~ 2002)
5.9.4.9. Ninth child of Margaret E. Johnston and Alfred E. Switzer, Doris Vivian Switzer, was born October 18, 1916, in Peterborough, Ontario.
She married John Clow Todd, son of Arthur Ellison Todd and Mary Elizabeth Sayers, January 13, 1943, Hamilton, Ontario, and had two children:

Doris V. Switzer Todd died September 23, 2002, aged 85 years and John C. Todd died October 25, 2008, aged 90 years in Hamilton, Ontario and are interred at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Peacefully, at Grace Villa Nursing Home on Monday, September 23, 2002, Doris Vivian Todd (Switzer) in her 86th year. Dearly loved wife and best friend of John Todd for 60 years. Cherished mother of Derek of Atlanta, Georgia, and Colleen and her husband, Frederick Meyer. Adoring grandmother of Robert and Alexander Meyer. Doris was a retired employee of Eaton’s, James Street North, a member of the Hi-Lites Club, and a longtime parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Visitation at the M. A. Clark & Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 25, 2002 at St. Peter & Paul Church, 50 Brucedale Ave. East, Hamilton at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. At McMaster University Medical Centre on October 25, 2008, John Clow Todd in his 91st year. Joined in heaven together forever with his beloved wife, Doris (Switzer), 2002. Cherished father of Derek and his wife, Jennifer of Roswell, Georgia, and Colleen and her husband Frederick Meyer. Devoted grandfather of Robert and Alexander Meyer. John was a retired employee of Westinghouse Canada, and a longtime parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul Church. Veteran of WWII serving in Europe with the Royal Canadian Artillery, 23rd Field Regiment, 31st Battery. Visitation at the M.A. Clark & Sons Funeral Home, 567 Upper Wellington St., Hamilton, Tuesday, October 28, 2008, 2-4 p.m. and 6:30-9:00 p.m. Prayers at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Sts.
