She married Victor LaFrance, son of Prosper Edward LaFrance and Zoe Marie Mainville, November 12, 1902, in Langdon, Cavalier Co., North Dakota, U.S.

Edith P. Skinner LaFrance died January 30, 1966, aged 81 years and Victor LaFrance died June 27, 1939, aged 60 years in Rolette, North Dakota.

Edith P. Skinner LaFrance
June 5, 1882 ~ January 30, 1966
Mrs. Edith P. LaFrance, 84-year-old longtime county resident who had lived in Rollette in recent years, died at the Rollette Community Hospital Sunday, January 30, 1966 after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 2, at 2 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church of Rolla with Rev. Floyd O. Martin, church pastor, and Rev. Ralph Walty of Rolette officiating.
Reviewal was at the church prior to the service. Interment was in the Rolla Cemetery. Pallbearers were Omer Lewis, Lyle Prouty, Abraham Graber, James Darling, Oscar Oakland and Royce Johnston.
Music was provided by the church choir directed by Mrs. C. R. Jacobsen and accompanied by Cynthia Brown, organist. Niewoehner Funeral Home had charge of arrangements and a family service was held at Niewoehner Chapel here Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. LaFrance is survived by a son, Clinton of Perth, three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, a grandchild, four sisters and two brothers.
Edith Skinner was born June 5, 1882, at Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Skinner. She moved with her parents to Langdon when she was a young girl. She grew up at Langdon, and lived there until her marriage.
The wedding of Edith Skinner and Victor LaFrance took place November 12, 1902, at Langdon. Following the wedding, they moved to Union Township, Rolette County, where they were among the early settlers. She resided on the farm they had homesteaded until her husband’s death, when she moved to Rolette.
She had lived in Rolette since up to the time of her death. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Rolla Turtle Mountain Star, Feb. 3, 1966.
