Alfred James Muirhead  (1862 ~ 1924)

 

7.5. Fifth child of Sarah Adams and John Muirhead, Alfred James Muirhead, was born in December 23, 1862, in Haldimand Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario. 

 

  Alfred J. Muirhead died July 2, 1924, aged 61 years, in Cobourg, Ontario and is interred at Baltimore United Church Cemetery.

Alfred J. Muirhead

The death occurred at the Cobourg General Hospital on Wednesday afternoon of last week of Alfred Muirhead, an old resident of Cobourg and the Township of Haldimand, age 61 years. About a month ago deceased suffered a stroke of paralysis, which caused his death, though he had been in failing health for some time previous. He was born in Haldimand Township, where he farmed up to about 15 years ago, when he removed to Cobourg. He was a son of the late John Muirhead, of Haldimand, and was the last surviving member of the family, two brothers having predeceased him. The funeral took place on Friday afternoon to the Methodist cemetery, Baltimore, Rev. R. F. Stillman conducting the services. In religion deceased was a Methodist and in politics a Conservative, and he was well liked by a large circle of acquaintances. Cobourg Sentinel-Star, July 10, 1924.
