Sarah Jane McBride Linton (1878 ~ 1962)
8.1.1. First child of John M. Linton and Melcha Zimmerman, Sarah Jane McBride Linton, was born December 30, 1878, in Clifford, Minto Twp., Wellington Co., Ontario.
She married Frank Harris Harsen, son of David Harsen and Maggie Wilkens, December 24, 1902, in Lapeer, Michigan and had four children:

Sarah Jane M. Linton Harsen died September 1, 1962, aged 83 years and Frank H. Harsen died October 20, 1958, aged 79 years in Lum, Michigan, U.S. and are interred at Lum Cemetery.

Sarah Jane M. Linton Harsen
Sarah Jane Harsen, 83, of 2163 Mitchell Lake Road, Lum, died Saturday, September 1, 1962 at her home after an extended illness.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. The Rev. Frank F. Hemingway and the Rev. Helena Richmond, officiated. Burial was in Lum Cemetery.
Mrs. Harsen was born December 30, 1878, at Gorrie, Howick Twp., Ontario, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Linton. She married Frank Harsen, December 24, 1902. He predeceased her in 1958.
Surviving are a daughter, Zada Harsen, of Flint; a son, Keith Harsen, of Lum; a grandson, Ronald Harsen, and a sister, Mrs. Blanche Comer, of Lum. Lapeer County Press, Sept. 6, 1962.
Frank H. Harsen
June 27, 1879 ~ October 20, 1958
Funeral services for Frank Harsen, 79, of 2163 Mitchell Lake Road, were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Lum Methodist Church. The Rev. Arthur Tinglan officated and burial was made in the Lum Cemetery.
Mr. Harsen died Monday [October 20, 1958] at his home after a lingering illness.
He was born in Attica Township on June 27, 1879, the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Harsen. He was married to Sarah Jane Linton in 1902.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Keith Harsen of Lum; one daughter, Miss Zada Harsen of Flint; one brother, Fred Harsen of Otisville and one grandchild.
