Keith Linton Harsen  (1913 ~ 1990)

 

8.1.1.4. Fourth child of Sarah J. Linton and Frank Harsen, Keith Linton Harsen, was born February 3, 1913, in Kings Mills, Arcadia Twp., Lapeer Co., Michigan.

  He married Helen Elizabeth Tripp, daughter of Abner J. Tripp and Nellie R. Clark, August 8, 1931, in Imlay City, Michigan, and had one child:

  Keith L. Harsen died April 28, 1990, aged 77 years and Helen E. Tripp Harsen died January 6, 1972, aged 60 years in Lum, Michigan, and are interred at Lum Cemetery.

Harsen—Tripp

Keith Harsen and Miss Helen E. Tripp, two popular residents of Lum, were married at Imlay City, August 8, 1931 by Rev. Herman Burns, in the presence of Miss Geraldine Reid and Charles Muir. Mr. Harsen is the son of Frank Harsen and Miss Tripp is the daughter of Abner Tripp. Mr. Harsen is a graduate of the Lapeer High School and his bride is a teacher. Keith L. Harsen

Keith L. Harsen, 77, of Lum, Michigan, died April 28, 1990, at home.

  He was born February 3, 1913, to Frank and Sarah Jane (Linton) Harsen in Kings Mill.

  Mr. Harsen had lived in Lum since he was three years old. He has been a blacksmith for 40 years. He worked as a custodian for North Branch Schools for 10 years, retiring in 1983.

  He is survived by his son, Ron of Lum. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, in 1972.

 Services were Tuesday at the Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. The Rev. William McNees officiated. Burial was in Lum Cemetery. Lapeer County Press, May 2, 1990.

Helen E. Tripp Harsen

August 14, 1911 ~ January 6, 1972

Mrs. Helen E. Harsen, 60, of 2186 Vincent St., Lum, died Thursday, January 6, 1972 at her home after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held Monday from the Muir Bros. Funeral Home, Lapeer, with Rev. Willard King officiating. Burial was in Lum Cemetery.

  Mrs. Harsen was born August 14, 1911, in Lum, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abner Tripp. She was married to Keith Harsen, August 8, 1931 in Imlay City. She had been a teacher for the past 20 years, the last 14 in the North Branch School System. She was a member of the Lum United Methodist Church.

  Surviving are her husband, Keith; a son Ronald at home and a brother, Haskel Tripp of Lapeer. Lapeer County Press, Jan. 13, 1972.
