Omah Joyce Swain  (1930 ~ 2011)

 

8.1.4.3. Third child of Blanche M. Linton and Glenn F. Swain, Omah Joyce Swain, was born April 8, 1930, in Lum, Arcadia Twp., Lapeer Co., Michigan. 

  She married Ralph Russell MikeKilbreath, son of Emory Kilbreath and Minnie Korff, October 9, 1965, in Dryden, Michigan. 

 

  Omah J. Swain Kilbreath died November 16, 2011, aged 81 years, in Lapeer, Michigan.

Omah J. Swain Kilbreath

Omah Kilbreath, 81, formerly of Lum, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Ferguson Convalescent Home in Lapeer. Omah Joyce Swain was born on April 8, 1930, in Lum, the daughter of Glen and Blanche Swain.

  Omah spent most of her life in Lum and was a graduate of Imlay City High School. Following high school Omah attended the Flint School of Business for one year in Comtrometer Training. She married Ralph “Mike” Kilbreath on October 9, 1965, in Dryden. He passed away on November 15, 1992. She worked 31 years for General Motors AC Delco Plant in Flint in the factory and in the office. Omah also worked at the Imlay City Bakery. She attended church in Lum and she loved to cook, garden, and galavant.

  She is survived by her close friends, Sharon Glassbrook of Attica, Elaine Babcock of Imlay City; and several nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Kilbreath; brothers, Glenn Swain and Sam Swain; and parents, Glenn and Blanche Swain.

  A funeral service was held Monday, November 21, 2011 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home - Imlay City.
