8.2.1.1. First child of Maude E. Moore and Claude S. Slater, Ruth Jane Slater, was born September 11, 1914, in Oregon Twp., Lapeer Co., Michigan.

 

  Ruth J. Slater died May 27, 1923, aged eight years in Lapeer Co., Michigan, U.S. and is interred at Mount Hope Cemetery.

Ruth J. Slater

September 11, 1914 ~ May 27, 1923

Ruth Slater, little eight-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Slater, died Sunday, May 27, 1923 following a long illness from a complication of diseases. Besides the grief-stricken parents, one sister, Martha, 7 years old, survives. Funeral services were held Tuesday from the M. P. Church, Rev. Bush of Jackson, officiating, assisted by Rev. Hemingway. Burial was made in Mount Hope Cemetery. Lapeer County Press, May 30, 1923.
