8.2.1.2. Second child of Maude E. Moore and Claude S. Slater, Martha Maude Slater, was born April 26, 1916, in Lapeer, Lapeer Co., Michigan, U.S.

She married (1) Harry Raymond Eberlin, son of Wilhelm Heinrich Eberlin and Mamie S. Reihing, May 15, 1939, Bowling Green, Ohio, and had one child:

She married (2) Melvin Lewis Stone, son of Harris Goldstone and Hilda Marcus, April 2, 1952, in Flint, Michigan and had two children:

Martha M. Slater Eberlin Stone died October 31, 1975, aged 59 years in San Bernadino, California and is interred at Victor Valley Memorial Park.

Martha M. Slater Eberlin Stone

April 26, 1916 ~ October 31, 1975

Martha Maude Stone, 59, of Spring Valley Lake, Victorville and San Bernardino died October 31, 1975 at her home. A funeral service is scheduled Wednesday morning at 10 at the chapel of Dudley Mortuary, with the Rev. William Townsend officiating; interment will be in Victor Valley Memorial Park.

A native of Michigan, Mrs. Stone had lived in the county for 13 years; she was employed with the management of Stone Investment, Inc. She was also president of Spring Valley Lake Ladies Golf Club.

Mrs. Stone is survived by her widower, Melvin of Spring Valley Lake, Victorville and San Bernardino; two sons, Harry Eberlin of Redlands and David of San Bernardino; a daughter, Susan of San Bernardino; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Dudley Mortuary. Victor Valley Daily Press, Nov. 2, 1975.

Harry R. Eberlin

October 29, 1902 ~ July 4, 1982

Harry R. Eberlin, 79, of Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich., and formerly of Forsythe Street, died Sunday, July 4, 1982 in his home. He moved from Toledo about 35 years ago and operated coal companies in Milan and Ypsilanti, Mich.

After leaving the coal business, be operated a hardware store in Grosse Pointe Woods 20 years. Surviving are his wife, Ruth; son Harry, Jr.; daughter, Mrs. Nancy Neubert; brothers, Myron, and William, and sister, Florence Eberlin. Services will be at 7:30 tonight in Peter Mortuary, Mack and Vernier avenues, Grosse Pointe Woods. Toledo Blade, July 7, 1982.
