8.2.2.1. First child of Benjamin F. Moore and Alta M. Vaughan, George Benjamin Moore, was born January 9, 1912, in Lapeer, Lapeer Co., Michigan, U.S.

He married Anna Marie Corneail, daughter of Daniel Frederick Corneail and Mary May Bell, October 25, 1934 in Lapeer, Michigan and had three children:

George B. Moore died July 6, 1986, aged 74 years and Anna M. Corneail Moore died November 5, 1959 aged 45 years in Lapeer, Michigan, and are interred at Stiles Cemetery.

Miss Ann Corneail, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Corneail of Imlay City, and George B. Moore, son of Mrs. Maitland [Alta] Zuhlke and Benjamin F. Moore were married at the home of Justice Ivery Thursday, October 25, 1934. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin F. Moore. The young will reside at 131 Cedar Street, Lapeer. Mr. Moore works at the Farm Bureau Store in Lapeer. Their friends wish them happiness. Lapeer County Press, Oct. 31, 1934.

George Benjamin Moore, of Angle Rd., age 74, died Sunday, July 6, 1986, at the Lapeer County General Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 1986, at the Baird-Newton Funeral Home. Burial Stiles Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Moore was born in Lapeer, January 9, 1912, and has lived in the Lapeer area his entire life. He owned and operated Moore’s Market for 25 years. Surviving are: mother, Alta B. Kolka of Lapeer; son, George and wife Shirley of Lapeer; 2 daughters, Dorothy Smith and husband Jack and Alta V. Tallieu, both of Lapeer; brother, Benjamin and wife Mary Jo of Troy; sister, Lorene Goldberg of Troy. He was preceded in death by a brother, Pierce Moore. 21 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; step-son, Robert Angel and wife Peggy; step-daughter, Betty Daenzer and husband Keith, both of Otisville. Ann M. Corneail Moore

July 14, 1914 ~ November 6, 1959

Mrs. George B. Moore, 45, 1115 Angle Rd., Lapeer, passed away Friday, November 6, 1959 at the Lapeer County General Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday at 11 a.m. from Baird Funeral Home, the Rev. Fr. Charles Gaentges officiating. Burial was at Stiles Cemetery.

Mrs. Moore was born July 14, 1914 in Imlay City, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Corneail. She married George Moore, October 25, 1934 in Lapeer. They have operated Moore’s Market at Millville for the past six years.

Surviving are her husband, one son, George, Lapeer; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Smith, Lapeer and Alta at home; one sister, Mrs. Lucy Larade of California, and four grandchildren. Lapeer County Press, Nov. 12, 1959.
