Charles George Moore  (1893 ~ 1975)

 

8.2.5. Fourth child of Sarah J. Linton and George E. Moore, Charles George Moore, was born September 13, 1893, in Lapeer, Lapeer Co., Michigan, U.S.

  He married Georgia May Selleck, daughter of George F. Selleck and Minnie Balcom, January 3, 1912, in Detroit, Michigan and had two children:

• (8.2.5.2)  Edward Charles  (1918 ~ 2005)

 

  Charles G. Moore died June 6, 1975, aged 81 years and Georgia M. Selleck Moore died July 2, 1960, aged 64 years in Lapeer, Michigan, and are interred at Stiles Cemetery.

Charles G. Moore

Charles G. Moore, 82, of 2565 Bowers Rd., Lapeer, died June 6, 1975 at Suncrest Hospital, Lapeer.

  Funeral services were held June 9 at Baird Newton Funeral Home in Lapeer. Pastor Joseph Bower officiating, with burial in Stiles Cemetery.

  Mr. Moore was born in Lapeer, September 13, 1893. He worked for the Detroit Times for 40 years as a linotype operator. His wife Georgia died in 1960.

  Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Josephine Dent of Lapeer; a son, Charles C. Moore, of Stonington, Conn.; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Lapeer County Press, June 11, 1975.
