She married Donald Earl Longman, son of William Albert Longman and Grace Collier, April 30, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan and had four children:

Josephine J. Moore Longman Dent died January 18, 1996, aged 79 years in Flint, Michigan, and is interred at Stiles Cemetery.

Josephine J. Dent, 79, of Lapeer, died Thursday, January 18, 1996 at St. Joseph Hospital.

She was born September 17, 1916, in St. John’s and had lived in the Lapeer area most of her life.

She is survived by her son, Charles (and wife, Sandy) Longman of Mt. Morris; daughters Donna (and Husband, Paul) Hiltz of West Branch, Dolores (and Husband Murray) Magrath of Boynton Beach, Florida; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Edward C. (and wife, Ann) Moore of Stonington, Connecticut.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dent; daughter, Diane Longman.

Burial will be in Stiles Cemetery. Lapeer County Press, Jan. 21, 1996.

William F. Dent, 58, of 634 Park St., Lapeer, died Monday, July 14, 1975, at his home. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at the Baird-Newton Funeral Home, Lapeer, the Rev. Joseph Bower officiating. Burial will be in Stiles Cemetery.

Mr. Dent was born in Columbiaville, January 24, 1917, the son of William and Louise Dent. He spent most of his life in Lapeer County and was a former meat cutter at Cadillac Market.

Surviving are his wife, Josephine; 3 sisters, Mrs. Ione Helmick and Mrs. Lillian Hart of Lapeer, and Mrs. Dorothy Jeffrey of Mahon, Mich., and a brother, Fay Dent of Saginaw. Lapeer County Press, July 16, 1975.
