She married George William Walker, son of Christopher Columbus Walker and Mary Alice Gourley, July 8, 1944, in Lapeer, Michigan, and had five children:

Joan F. Walker, 36967 Thinbark, Wayne, age 39, died Thursday, August 3, 1961, at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 1961, from the Colonial Chapel, Reigle Funeral Home, 2417 S. Saginaw St. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Mrs. Walker will remain at the funeral home. She was born in Michigan, October 19, 1921. Surviving are: husband, George; three sons, Gary, Robert and Richard; two daughters, Jenny and Mary Ann, all at home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond R. Sim of Flint; two brothers, Richard Sim of Flint and Frank Sim of Lansing; sister, Mrs. Margaret Haglund of Detroit.
