Richard Edward Sim  (1924 ~ 2013)

 

8.4.3.3. Third child of Margaret A. Linton and Raymond R. Sim, Richard Edward Sim, was born May 15, 1924, in Windsor, Essex Co., Ontario. 

  He married Norine Cassie Root, daughter of Edward Andrew Root and Bessie M. Smith, December 7, 1943, in Flint, Michigan, U.S. and had three children:

 

  • (8.4.3.3.1)  Daniel Richard  (1946 ~ )

  • (8.4.3.3.2)  Judith Carol  (1950 ~ )

  • (8.4.3.3.3)  Lana Norine  (1956 ~ )

 

  Richard E. Sim died October 10, 2013, aged 89 years in Yorktown, Virginia and Norine C. Root Sim died March 6, 1988, aged 62 years in Flint, Michigan.

Norine C. Sim, age 62, died Sunday, March 6, 1988, at Flint Osteopathis Hospital. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 1988, at the Reigle Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, Rev. Pat Stybert officiating. Mrs. Sim was born in Rogersville, Michigan, April 13, 1925. She married Richard Sim, December 7, 1943. Surviving are: husband, Richard; daughters, Judith Bill and husband David of Ortonville, Lana Moffit and husband Kerry of Lansing; son, Daniel Sim and wife Linda of Burton; 5 grandchildren; 6 brothers, Edwin Root of Florida, Kenneth Root of Burton, Gerald Root of New Lothrop, Donovan Root of Burton, Robert Root of Florida, Richard Root of Florida. Mrs. Sim was preceded in death by brother, Earl Root.
