Thomas James Albert Gummow (1885 ~ 1959)
9.1.1. First child of Mary Ann Adams and Robert Thomas Gummow, Thomas James 'Albert' Gummow, was born February 19, 1885, in Logan Twp., Perth Co., Ontario.
He married (1) Margery Hicks Vosper, daughter of William Vosper and Grace Mulheron, March 29, 1911, in Mitchell, Perth Co., Ontario.
He married (2) Maud Rogers, daughter of Richard Rogers and Mary Hicks, September 26, 1927, in Owen Sound, Ontario.
T. J. Albert Gummow died November 12, 1959, in Sebringville, Logan Twp., Perth Co., Ontario, aged 74 years and Margery H. Vosper Gummow died September 11, 1925, aged 46 years in Stratford, Peth Co., Ontario and are interred at Woodland Methodist Cemetery, Mitchell, Ontario.

Gummow—Vosper
At five o’clock on Wednesday afternoon, March 29, 1911, a very pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Vosper, Fullarton, when their daughter, Miss Margery Hicks, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Mr. Albert Gummow of Logan. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Swann of the Fullarton circuit, and only the immediate relatives were present. After congratulations the wedding party partook of a very dainty repast. The bride looked charming dressed in blue silk. The presents were numerous, costly and beautiful. Mr. Gummow recently purchased Mr. John R. Thompson’s splendid farm, and he and his bride are settled in their new home. Stratford Daily Beacon, Mar. 30, 1911.
Gummow—Rogers
A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnized at the parsonage of St. John's United Church, Owen Sound, Monday [September 26, 1927] afternoon at 2 o'clock, when the pastor, Rev. W. Stanley Owen united in marriage Maude, daughter of Mrs. Richard Rogers of Fenella and Albert Gummow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gummow of Mitchell. The young couple was unattend-ed. The bride wore a becoming dress of poudre blue satin and hat of fawn with shoes and hose to match. She also wore a string of pearls, the gift of the bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs. Gummow will reside in Mitchell. ─Stratford Beacon Herald.

T. J. Albert Gummow
Albert Thomas Gummow, Sebringville, died at his home on Thursday, November 12, 1959. He had been in failing health for several months.
He was born February 19, 1885, in Logan, a son of the late Robert Gummow and the former Mary Ann Adams. For 47 years he farmed in Logan, at Lot 4, Con. 9, before retiring to Sebringville. He was a member of the United Church.
On September 26, 1927, he married Maud Rogers in eastern Canada who survives.
The body rested at the Heath-Leslie funeral home where a service was held Saturday with Rev. Hugh Hunter of Main St. United Church officiated. Interment followed in Woodland cemetery.
Pallbearers were William Drummond, Logan; Harold Butler, Fullarton; Samuel Squire, Oscar Rogers, Wilfred Wood and William Parrott, Mitchell. Friends and relatives attended from Fenella, Trowbridge, Stratford, Sebringville, Monkton, Mitchell, and surrounding district. Mitchell Advocate, Nov. 19, 1959.
Margery H. Vosper Gummow
October 14, 1878 ~ September 11, 1925
After a long illness and for the last 11 weeks a patient in the Stratford General Hospital, Stratford, Mrs. Albert Gummow passed away on Friday, September 11, 1925, in that hospital, in her 47th year. Her maiden name was Marjorie Vosper, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Vosper, of Fullarton township, of which she was a native. The deceased woman had a wide circle of friends and was a member of Knox church, Mitchell, and through all her sickness bore her sufferings with Christian fortitude. Besides her bereaved husband she is survived by four brothers and one sister. Thomas and John of Gould’s; Randall and Hugh on the old homestead farm, Fullarton; and Mrs. Joseph Reed of Hibbert. The funeral took place from the family home on Sunday afternoon to the Presbyterian cemetery, Mitchell, and the services were conducted by Rev. H. L. Bennie, pastor of Knox Church. Maud Rogers Gummow
September 5, 1894 ~ April 16, 1964
Funeral service for Maud Gummow, 70, of Fenella, who died April 16, 1964, was held at the McMillan Funeral Home, April 18, conducted by Rev. H. E. Beare.
Mrs. Gummow was born and attended school in Haldimand Township, near Fenella, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rogers.
She married Albert T. Gummow in 1927, and lived in Logan Township, near Mitchell. Her husband predeceased her seven years ago.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. David Haines, Fenella. Three sisters and two brothers predeceased her.
Pallbearers were Floyd Brown, W. I. Montgomery, N. C. Leach and Don Sherwin. Burial was in Bethany Cemetery. Cobourg Sentinel-Star, May 6, 1964.
