Isabella Adams (1860 ~ 1940)
9.2. Second child of Thomas Adams and Jane James, Isabella Adams, was born March 24, 1860, in Fenella, Haldimand Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario.
She married Robert Waldie, son of Thomas Waldie and Christina Brown, January 17, 1883, in Haldimand Twp., Ontario and had four children:

Isabella Adams Waldie died October 5, 1940, aged 80 years and Robert Waldie died February 8, 1947, aged 89 years in Grafton, Haldimand Twp., Ontario and are interred at Centreton Cemetery.

Isabella Adams Waldie
March 24, 1860 ~ October 5, 1940
The death occurred of Mrs. Robert Waldie near Grafton on Saturday, October 5, 1940. She was born in Haldimand Township and before her marriage was Miss Isabella Adams.
Mrs. Waldie was in her 81st year and had not been well for some years, but her passing was very sudden. She and her husband and family have resided many years on their farm. The funeral service was held at the family residence on Monday afternoon.
Left to mourn beside her husband and three daughters, Mrs. O. Brown and Miss Christina Waldie at home; Mrs. S. Adams of Fenella and one son, Mr. Thomas Waldie at home; two sisters, Mrs. George Tucker, Centreton; Mrs. Will Macklin of Fenella; one brother, Mr. Samuel Adams of Fenella; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The remains were interred in the family plot in Centreton Cemetery. Many beautiful floral tributes were received. Cobourg Sentinel-Star, Oct. 17, 1940.
Robert Waldie
February 8, 1858 ~ February 8, 1947
Mr. Robert Waldie, who was 89 years old, passed away on his birthday on Saturday, February 8, 1947. Mr. Waldie had not been in good health since Christmas but had been confined to his bed for less then a week.
Born near Cobourg, the second son of the late Thomas Waldie and the late Christine Brown, he got his education at the old school on the Front Road East and at Baltimore Public School. He married Isabella Adams of Fenella in 1883 and took his bride to Dickey, North Dakota where they lived for nine years before taking up residence at Academy Hill, three miles north of Grafton. Mr. Waldie retired from farming about 25 years ago.
Left to mourn his passing are his son, Thomas Robert of Academy Hill, and his three daughters, Naomi, Mrs. Samuel Adams of Fenella; Christine of Academy Hill and Ethel, Mrs. Oria Brown of Fenella. He is also survived by five brothers, Archibald and William of Roseneath, Christopher, James and John of Dickey, North Dakota and one sister, Mrs. Lucy Sedgwick of Trent River. There are also five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held from Blackstock’s Undertaking Parlour at Grafton at 2:30 on Wednesday afternoon last week with the Rev. Dr. W. E. L. Smith officiating. Interment at Centreton Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Arthur Clouston, Lawrence Jaynes, George McCallum, Leslie Pratt, James Smith, and William Underwood. Cobourg Sentinel-Star, Feb. 20, 1947.
