Kenneth Thomas Adams (1918 ~ 1999)
9.3.1.1. First child of Archie W. Adams and Mildred A. Peat, Kenneth Thomas Adams, was born March 13, 1918, in Prelate, Saskatchewan.
He married Anne Marie Kurtenbach, daughter of Charles John Kurtenbach and Rose Pauli, May 4, 1942, in Hamilton, Ontario and had three children:

Kenneth T. Adams died April 24, 1999, aged 81 years and Anne M. Kurtenbach Adams died December 14, 2000, aged 85 years in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and are interred at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Kenneth T. Adams
Kenneth Thomas Adams, age 81, beloved husband of Mrs. Anne Adams of Prince Albert, SK passed away peacefully after a short illness at the Victoria Hospital on Saturday, April 24, 1999. A private family service will be held. The late Mr. Adams is survived by his loving family: his wife of 56 years Anne (nee Kurtenbach); his three children Rod (Marie) Adams, Sheila (Bill) Harrison and Lorne (Debby) Adams his six grandchildren Lorie Brown, Jeff Adams, Melanie Adams, Ken Harrison, Lindy Adams and Nicole Adams; his three great-grandchildren Teighlor Fiddler, Joseph Brown and Jenna Brown; his two brothers Cliff (Mabel) and Russ (Grace); his sister Margaret Blezard as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Archie and Mildred; his grandson Tim Adams and his brother-in-law Artie Blezard.
Ken was born on March 13, 1918 in Prelate, Sask., grew up on the farm and attended Fairbanks school. Prior to joining the army in 1941, he worked on farms and lumber camps in Ontario. During the war, he was stationed in England as a mechanic. After his discharge in 1945, he set up a service station on the Shellbrook Highway. He also worked for the PA Auto Wreckers before retiring in 1983. He enjoyed curling, fishing and being the drummer in the Melody Makers Band. He participated in the Royal Canadian Legion and became a life long member in the Prince Albert Elks Club where he served as Exalted Ruler in 1988. Ken was a great husband and father and especially enjoyed helping his children and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful care giver to his wife Anne, especially while she resided at the Holy Family Hospital and later at the Mont St. Joseph Nursing Home. His great sense of humor and quick wit will be missed by all the residents and staff at the home, as well as by family and friends. Ken enjoyed talking with his many friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Mont St. Joseph Nursing Home or to the Canadian Cancer Society. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Garden of Sermon on the Mount, Price Albert Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Memorial Chapel. Anne M. Kurtenbach Adams
December 11, 1915 ~ December 14, 2000
Mrs. Anne Marie Adams (nee Kurtenbach) passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2000, at Mont St. Joseph Nursing Home withher family by her side. Prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 15 from Mont St. Joseph Nursing Home. Sister Rose Marie Sanche will officiate. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 16 from Mont St. Joseph Nursing Home by The Rev. Father Maurice Foilleau. Anne is survived by her loving family: her two sons Rod (Marie) Adams of Toronto, Ont.; and Lorne (Debby) Adams of Prince Albert, Sask.; her daughter Sheila (Bill) Harrison of Prince Albert, Sask.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers; three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ken Adams; her grandson Tim Adams; her parents, Charlie and Rose Kurtenbach and her brother Francis Kurtenbach. Anne was born on December 11, 1915 on the homestead at Cudworth, Sask. In her childhood years she attended school and helped on the family farm. In 1942 she married Ken Adams in Hamilton, Ontario and shortly after they were married Ken was stationed in England to serve his country. Anne returned to live with her parents in the Cudworth area. When Ken returned from the war, they moved to Vancouver Island where they resided for two years, then returned to Prince Albert where Anne has lived for the last 50 years. Anne took great pride in her family and enjoyed reading, playing cards and was an avid fan of the music of Don Messer and his Jubilee. She suffered a stroke in 1994 causing paralysis to her right side. Through her strong faith and commitment from her family she was able to cope and improve the quality of her life. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Mont St. Joseph Nursing Home or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Private family interment of cremated remains will take place at Garden of Sermon on the Mount, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank Sister Rose Marie and the staff of the Mont St. Joseph Nursing Home and Gertie Wilson for their excellent care and attention given to our mom during her stay.
