9.3.3. Third child of Thomas J. Adams and Maggie Brisbin, Ruby Jane Adams, was born April 15, 1897, in Fenella, Haldimand Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario.

Ruby J. Adams died June 13, 1973, aged 76 years in Cobourg, Ontario and is interred at Macklin’s Cemetery.

Ruby J. Adams

On Wednesday, June 13, 1973, Ruby Jane Adams, 76, passed away in Cobourg General Hospital. She had been ill two weeks following an operation.

She was born at Fenella, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Adams, and had lived at St. Peter’s Court for the past six years.

Predeceased by brothers Archie and Delbert, Miss Adams is survived by a brother, Frank, three sisters-in-law and a number of nieces and nephews.

Rev. Garth Mundle of Trinity United Church conducted the funeral service at MacCoubrey’s Funeral Home and pallbearers were N. C. Leach, W. I. Montgomery, Everett Adams, Neil Adams, Eldon Adams and Heber Adams. Interment was at Macklin’s Cemetery, Bethany.

Among those attending the funeral was Mrs. Jennie Macklin, Smiths Falls; Arthur Tucker and son Lynn Tucker, Listowel. Cobourg Sentinel-Star, June 27, 1973.
