Noreen Belva Adams  (1925 ~ 2012)

 

9.3.4.2. Second child of Frank M. Adams and Annie B. Thackeray, Noreen Belva Adams, was born June 16, 1925, in Roseneath, Alnwick Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario.

  She married Eric Ivan Darling, son of John Arthur Darling and Mabel Marks, June 1, 1946, in Roseneath, Ontario and had four children:

  • (9.3.4.2.2)  Dennis Wayne  (1954 ~ )

  • (9.3.4.2.3)  Ronald Allan  (1955 ~ )

  • (9.3.4.2.4)  Linda Dianne  (1958 ~ )

 

  Noreen B. Adams Darling died January 17, 2012, aged 86 years, in Port Perry, Ontario and Eric I. Darling died January 9, 1962, aged 43 years, in Toronto, Ontario and are interred at Groveside Cemetery.

Noreen B. Adams Darling

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Port Perry on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in her 87th year. Noreen (Adams) Darling, wife of the late Eric Darling. Loving mother of John (Lynda), Dennis (Beth), Ron (Glenda), Linda (Greg) McNair. Dear grandmother of Aaron, Adrianna, Courtney, Eric, Geoffrey, Darryl, Dianne and great-grandaughter Lucy. Sister of Neil, Don, Gerald, Myrna, Dean and predeceased by Everett and Barbara. Noreen will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Northumberland Today, Jan. 26, 2012.

Eric I. Darling

October 16, 1918 ~ January 9, 1962

Eric Darling, 43, died at Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto, January 9, 1962, following a lengthy illness. Deceased was born near Roseneath, youngest son of the late John Arthur Darling and Mabel Marks. He attended S.S. 10, Percy.

  In 1946 he married Noreen Adams, Roseneath, and then living here; later at Whitby. He was a member of the United Church and of the Independent Order of Oddfellows.

  The funeral was held at Whitby, Rev. J. Smith in charge of the service.

  Surviving are his widow and children, John 13, Dennis 9, Ronald 6, Linda 3; sisters, Mrs. Harold Coffee, Hilton; Mrs. Hayden Atkinson, Warkworth; Mrs. Frank Madill, Oshawa; Mrs. William Timmins, Toronto; a brother Donald of Peterboro.

  Interment was in Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin, Ontario. Cobourg Sentinel-Star, Jan. 17, 1962.
