Morris Dean Adams  (1940 ~ 2012)

 

9.3.4.8. Eighth child of Frank M. Adams and Annie B. Thackeray, Morris Dean Adams, was born January 8, 1940, in Roseneath, Alnwick Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario.

  He married Patricia Ann Hogg, daughter of Myrtle Edna Hogg and Eldred Vernon Baxter, August 23, 1958, in Newtonville, Clarke Twp., Durham Co., Ontario and had three children:

 

  • (9.3.4.8.1)  Paul Terry-Dean  (1958 ~ )

  • (9.3.4.8.2)  Lou-Ann Lillian  (1960 ~ )

  • (9.3.4.8.2)  Nancy Lorraine  (1964 ~ )

 

  M. Dean Adams died April 9, 2012, aged 72 years, in Oshawa, Ontario.

 

 

----- MARRIAGE -----

 

Adams—Hogg

The double-ring wedding was solemnized at United Church parsonage, Newtonville, August 23, 1958, when Patricia Ann Hogg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Baxter, Roseneath, was united in marriage with Morris Dean Adams, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Adams, of Roseneath, Rev. R. C. White officiating.

  The bride chose a ballerina length dress of white nylon net over satin, bead embroidered fitted bodice had sweetheart neckline and long sleeves, bouffant skirt had lace inserts. Her short veil of nylon fell from a beaded tiara; her nosegay was of red rosebuds.

  The bridesmaid, Miss Lorraine Parker wore a dress of lime green nylon net over taffeta, rows of ruffles on the bouffant skirt.  The fitted bodice had short sleeves. She wore a matching headdress, carried yellow carnations.

  The groomsman was Terry Hogg, brother of the bride.

  At reception for 45 guests held at Maple Lodge, Roseneath, the bride’s mother wore a French blue suit, white accessories; both wore corsages of pink carnations.

  The waitresses were, Misses Mary Coyle, Elaine Beavis, Eleanor Sandercock, Mrs. Ross Derry.

  For travelling the bride wore a navy blue dress, pink accessories and a corsage of pink roses and carried a navy blue coat.

  They will reside near Roseneath.

  Previous to her marriage Miss Hogg was feted at a miscellaneous shower in Roseneath, and a pantry shower at the home of Mrs. Charles Hogg, Harwood. Cobourg Sentinel-Star, Sept. 4, 1958.

Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with family by his side on Monday, April 9, 2012, Morris “Dean” Adams at 72 years of age. Beloved husband of Patricia Adams (nee Hogg). Loving father of Paul Adams (Peggy), Lou-Ann Tidd (Watson) and Nancy Behan (Brent). Cherished grandfather of Amanda Bronson (Stewart), Pamela Tidd, Deana, Brandon, and Katrina Behan. Great-grandfather of Cooper Bronson. Dean will be deeply missed by his brothers Neil, Don (Jean), Gerald (Lois) and sister Myrna Page (Cliff). Also missed by brother-in-law Bill Grieve, Terry Hogg (Helen), Brent (Tina) and Jack Baxter and sister-in-law Mary-Lou Humphries (Darwin) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Everett (Joy) and sisters Noreen Darling (Eric) and Barbara Grieve and sister-in-law Shirley. Cremation with a graveside service at Centenary Cemetery, Friday, April 13th, at 2 p.m. We will dance again my love.
