Following the ceremony a reception was held at “Maple Lodge” Roseneath. The bride’s mother received wearing a mauve and white jersey cloth gown, a black hat and a corsage of white carnations. Supper was served at a table centred with the three-tiered wedding cake with pink and white candles in silver holders and bouquets of early summer flowers. Pink and white streamers were suspended from the ceiling and a profusion of flowers was everywhere.
