A quiet wedding took place at the Free Methodist parsonage, 110 Albert St. S., Orillia, at 12 noon on November 23, 1945, when Clara Alfreda, only daughter of Rev. and Mrs. A. F. Ball was united in marriage to W. Harol Macklin, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Macklin, of Fenella. Rev. A. F. Ball officiated, assisted by Rev. G. H. Bache of Newmarket.

The bride was given away by her uncle, Rev. G. H. Bache. She was attired in a street length dress of powder blue crepe with matching accessories and a corsage of Talisman roses.

The wedding march was played by Miss Ruth Bache, a cousin of the bride. Following the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served to the immediate friends.

Later the happy couple left on a motor trip to Toronto, Niagara Falls, Buffalo and other points, the bride travelling in a light blue wool dress, black hat and coat with blue accessories. On their return they will reside at Fenella.

The bridal pair were the recipients of many useful presents, including a beautiful gift from the staff of the Orillia Public Library where the bride has been employed as clerk. Cobourg Sentinel-Star, Dec. 6, 1945.
