9.6.2.3. Third child of Jennie L. Spear and Wilbert R. Macklin, Violet 'May' Macklin, was born March 25, 1926, in Fenella, Haldimand Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario.

V. May Macklin died December 1, 1997, aged 71 years, in Smiths Falls, Ontario and is interred at Macklin’s Cemetery.

V. May Macklin

At her residence, Smiths Falls, on Monday, December 1, 1997, Violet May Macklin in her 72nd year. Beloved daughter of Jennie Macklin (Spear) and the late Wilbert Macklin. Loved sister of Harol (Clara) of Napanee, Marguerite of Smiths Falls, George (Zeita) of Cobourg and Sidney (Janet) of Toronto. Also survived by four nieces, four nephews and twelve great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends may call at the Blair and Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls, Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted in the Free Methodist Church, Smiths Falls on Thursday, December 4 at 11 a.m. Interment Macklin Cemetery, Roseneath.
