She married James Bowker Bradbury, son of Percy Bradbury and Rachel Bowker, October 16, 1929, in Cobourg, Ontario and had five children:

Brenton—Bradbury
A pretty marriage was solemnized on Wednesday afternoon, October 16, 1929 at the bride’s apartments, Division St., when Miss Flossie Brenton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Brenton, Fenella, was married to Mr. James B. Bradbury, son of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Bradbury, Cobourg. Rev. W. R. Tanton conducted the ceremony. The bride wore powder blue georgette with hat to match and sun-tan shoes and hose. She carried sweetheart roses and maiden-hair ferns. Miss Teressa Brenton was bridesmaid for her sister and wore rose peach georgette with brown hat and shoes to match and carried Columbia roses. Mr. James Forbes was best man, Mr. and Mrs. Bradbury left for a motor trip before taking up residence on Division St., Cobourg. Cobourg World, Oct. 24, 1929.

Flossie Clarissa Brenton, beloved mother of Helen (Mrs. Ralph Hortop), Port Perry and Barbara (Mrs. Ron Ferguson), Cobourg. Predeceased by daughter Joan, son Vernon and one infant son. Dear sister of Tressa Cowling, Cobourg and Retta Waldie, Fenella. Also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Predeceased by one granddaughter. A private family service was held at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E., Cobourg, on Tuesday, September 21, followed by cremation. In memoriam donations to the Cobourg General Hospital would be appreciated by the family. Cobourg World, Sept. 21, 1982.

At the Brockville Psychiatric Hospital on Friday, October 7, 1983, James Bradbury, father of Mrs. Helen Hortop, Port Perry, grandfather of Frank Hortop, Arnprior.
Friends will be received at the Johnston-Barclay Funeral Home, 68 King St. E., from Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday morning October 12 when funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11 a.m. Rev.
