Adele Astephen  (1910 ~ 1998)

 

2. Second child of Abraham A. Astephen and Rose Balah, Adele Astephen, was born June 28, 1910, in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. 

  She married Joseph Armand 'Gaston' Barrette, son of Joseph Armand Barrette and Alma Longtin, April 28, 1943, in North Sydney, Nova Scotia and had one child:

 

  • (2.1)  Gail Ann  (1951 ~ )    

 

  Adele Astephen Barrette died January 7, 1998, aged 87 years, and Gaston Barrette died September 2, 1984, aged 66 years in Laval, Quebec and are interred at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.

At Cite de la Sante Laval, January 7, 1998. Beloved wife of the late Gaston Barrette. Survived by daughter Gail Ann, sisters Rose Zukowski, Cornwall, Marguerite Hilcox, Stratford, Mary MacDonald, North Sydney, N.S. and brother Abe Astephen, Saint John, N.B., sisters-in-law Mary Astephen, North Sydney, Jacqueline Vaillancourt and Suzanne Charron, brothers-in-law Gilles and Gabriel Barrette, all of Laval. She will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews and many friends and relatives. Memorial Mass will be celebrated in the spring at St. Paul’s, 1400 Concorde Blvd., followed by burial at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery. Montreal Gazette, Jan. 31, 1998.
