John Glowaski (1885 ~ 1968)
6. Sixth child of Antonius Glowacki and Catharina Pilipiec, Joannes “John” Glowaski (né Glowacki), was born June 14, 1885, in Horodnica, Husiatyn, Galicia [now Ukraine].
John Glowaski died April 24, 1968, aged 82 years, in Winnipegosis, Manitoba, and is interred at Holy Ascension Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.

John Glowaski
June 14, 1885 ~ April 24, 1968
John Glowaski, aged 83 years of Winnipegosis, Manitoba, passed away in hospital there on Wednesday, April 24, 1968. Funeral services were held from the Ukrainian Catholic church on Friday, April 26 with Rev. A. Zayac officiating. Pallbearers were Pete Harrison, Nick Hryhoruk, Michael Kulba, Prokop Beyak, Ed Rodanetz, P. J. Shewchuk. Interment took place in the parish cemetery. Sneath-Strilchuk funeral service had care of the arrangements.
He was born and educated in Poland coming to Canada and the Winnipegosis district in 1905 where he had since resided.
He is survived by one sister and two brothers, Anne of Toronto; Peter of Oshawa, Ont., Michael of Saskatoon; many nieces and nephews in Ontario and western Canada of whom Mrs. Steve Perpeluk (Mary) of Dauphin is one. Dauphin Herald, May 6, 1968.
