Michael Glowacki (1877 ~ 1977)

3. Third child of Anthony Glowacki and Catharina Pilipiec, Michael “Mike” Glowacki, was born November 4, 1877, in Horodnica, Husiatyn, Galicia, [now in Ukraine].

He married (1) Marya “Mary” Karchut, daughter of Stefan Karchut and Maria Kozak, July 17, 1906, in Winnipeg, Manitoba and had ten children:

He married (2) Mary Kolody Stecyk, daughter of Alex Kolody and Katherine Padocholski, October 25, 1956, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Mike Glowacki died March 17, 1977, aged 99 years and Mary Karchut Glowacki died September 26, 1954, aged 65 years, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Mary Karchut Glowaski

1886 ~ September 26, 1954

The death of Mrs. Mary Glowaski, age 68 years of 1715 - 22nd Street West, Saskatoon, occurred at her residence on September 26, 1954. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 29th at 10 a.m. from St. Mary’s Church. McKague’s Funeral Home will be in charge. Surviving are her husband, Mike, Saskatoon; eight sons, Peter Glow, Joseph Glow, Anthony Glow, George Glow, Thomas Glow and Stephen Glow of Saskatoon; Harry Glow of Detroit, Mich.; Mike Glow, Prince Albert, Sask.; one daughter, Miss Amethy Glow, Vancouver, B.C. Three grandchildren. Prayers will be offered at McKague’s Funeral Home Tuesday, September 28th at 3 p.m. Burial will be made at the Catholic cemetery. Saskatoon Star-Phoenix, Sept. 27, 1954.
